Dr. Rust has been my dentist for 42 years. I absolutely detest the drive from Vancouver to Beaverton. Every once in a while I think it would be nice not to make that drive. Then I think about the excellent care I have received for 42 years. I think about how wonderful the entire staff has been. Not just kind and efficient, but personable and funny. All of that would be incredibly difficult to give up after 42 years, so maybe the drive isn't so bad after all.

I can’t say enough good things about Paradigm Dental and their amazing staff! It had been a few years since I was able to return to their new location in Lake Grove due to Covid, and had quite a bit of work to be done. They had me wanting to smile again in no time, and I would recommend them to anybody looking for great work with a wonderful bunch of folks who care about your dental health. From the moment I walked into the office for my first visit, I was impressed by the friendly professionalism of the staff. The office is clean and modern, and the support staff is great. Dr. Rust is experienced and knowledgeable and put me completely at ease (I have extreme dental anxiety). I don't live in Oregon although visit what I have always known as "home" at least once a year. I went into this office on my last visit with a broken tooth on my partial. They very graciously repaired it for me. The care and kindness I received (especially for not being a regular patient) made me want to ask about some more extensive work I was considering doing where I actually live outside of Oregon. So, after a consult with Dr.Rust I decided to make a plan and come back to Oregon in the spring to have him and his office staff do the work for me. It's just a "feel good" office and teeth are important so feeling comfortable with who is working on them is critical. See you in April doc:)

I took my 2 daughters to Paradigm Dental for the first time today. It was clean and the staff was quite welcoming. It became clear that they were running behind (tons of patients that are getting caught up post-COVID shutdown), but the staff were very open and honest about it, and gave sincere apologies. The x-ray tech had a great sense of humor and prioritized my comfort. The hygienist was quite skilled and didn't kill my gums! She was also SO GREAT with my kids. The dentist diagnosed me with an abnormality that I've had since birth that no dentist has ever mentioned in 38 years. They weren't pushy with follow up appointments, but made it very clear what our next steps should be. They gave the kids extra prizes and handed me some coffee gift cards as a "thank you" for our patience. This is what customer service is all about! It's what was lacking at my previous dentist, and I'm so happy to have found Paradigm!

I had my first visit here today and as someone who has all sorts of dental problems and am more sensitive to pain, I couldn't have had a better experience. My filling fell out so, I was recommended by a friend to this location and dentist. My filling looks better than before and the staff and dentist were so incredible friendly and gentle. I have been visiting Paradigm Dental since I was a little girl. Doctor Rust is always attentive, thorough, and kind. I just had a teeth cleaning with Robin - a dental hygienist - and she was very lovely and did a fantastic job. Although I was overdue for a cleaning, she made me feel comfortable and not at all embarrassed about my situation. She really went above and beyond. This is a wonderful dentist office.

The staff at Paradigm Dental are all top notch and a delight to converse with (even while they are knuckles deep in your mouth)! Robin is a hoot and a half, while Mindy is unbelievably kind and informative. I have been seeing Dr.Rust since I was a little girl and his staff have always been great. I have been a patient of Douglas Rust for over 20 years. Dr. Rust and his staff have always stayed on top of the latest and best practices in dentistry. They are professional and have put a special emphasis on making sure you are comfortable during any of your procedures. They are very thorough and take the time to explain what they are going to do and why you need to do it. At my recent visit for two cavities, they introduced me to their new laser technology for fillings. Dr Rust's assistant explained the new procedure and answered all my questions. When the doctor arrived he again made sure I was comfortable and they offered me the conventional method of numbing shots and drilling, if I was more comfortable with that. I opted for the new technology. The laser was quick and painless. No one enjoys the shots to numb the area prior to drilling and this procedure does not require them. You don't have to hear that infamous drilling noise that puts you on edge either. You leave the office feeling like you were never there. If you want to have a pain free filling using the latest in dental technology, with proven professionals who greet you with a genuine smile, have all your insurance matters and appointments taken care of quickly and efficiently, then Paradigm Dental of Beaverton should be your dentist. I have already told several people about the laser treatment and my pain free visit. I love the dental technology of the future and you will too!

Honestly, I was blown away by this place. I'm super anxious when it comes to going to the dentist, and the staff was friendly and very good at making me feel comfortable and calm. It made the dentist office not seem like such a scary place to be after all! I was given a very thorough cleaning/exam, and got good advice on what to do as far as straightening my teeth, something I also went in for a second opinion on. They told me exactly what I would need to do, and gave me recommendations on good orthodontist to look into. I felt like all my questions were answered, and walked out feeling very hopeful and satisfied!

I got a filling without needing anesthesia because they used a laser to get rid of the decay on my tooth, and it basically just felt like I was getting misted the whole time. Super comfortable, quick and easy. Stoked about this laser!

I've been going to Paradigm Dental for at least 5 years. I just tried their new laser cavity tool, and it's amazing! Cavity filled with no novacain, and with less pain than the novacain shot!

Dr. Rust and his team are awesome!! Dr. Rust has the best and up to date technology like his Solea laser. No numbing required for fillings. He also has really good hands and an eye for esthetics. I normally have anxiety going to the dentist but not with Dr. Rust. He makes going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. I just had a few fillings done by him and the contacts are perfect. No more food traps; That is priceless :)

I have been going here for about 9 years. I love how professional yet friendly all staff are. They explain everything and let you ask questions without making you look like an idiot. I also love that they use cutting edge technology to make procedures easier on the patient. I used to hate mouth X-rays but now they don't bother me. The newest feature is the laser drill (?) used for fillings... for me the worst aspect was being numbed with the giant needle(I could never see it but it felt that way)... well I just had 2 fillings in less than an hour and no needles!

I and my family have been clients of Dr. Rust's for decades and trust him completely. He and the other staff are always pleasant, professional, and concerned for my health and comfort. Dr. Rust stays up on the latest dentistry practices. For example, I recently had four fillings applied with no shots required. I was anesthetized with a topical solution and laser only. I felt no tooth pain at all! For people who fear needles, and don't like having numb mouth after a procedure, the laser anesthesia is a great alternative. I recommend Paradigm Dental wholeheartedly!

This has to be the best place I have been to for dental work in all my 40 years of life. They were able to put a permanent crown on a tooth they did not prepare, and on a tooth I was previously told needed lengthening by another practice, all in the same day. I can not praise the entire staff here enough for how I have been treated. For the first time in my life I look forward to my next visit.

I recently had a filling using laser technology to prepare the area. Instead of the traditional anesthesia injection to numb my jaw, it only required a little topical solution on the surface. The whole procedure was free of pain, and I left with my face feeling normal. I really appreciate Dr. Rust providing this kind of care!

Our family has know and trusted Dr Rust and his staff for several decades. Today I was introduced to a new laser assisted procedure, for a cavity that was above the gum line. Totally painless, and with NO injunction to numb the tooth. Dr Rust indicated that only a very small percent of dentists have this. Only adding to the 110% satisfaction! Dr. Rust did my filling using the laser to do the prep work vs. the drill which meant I didn't need any local anesthesia. Therefore the time needed to do the filling and make adjustments to my bite was greatly reduced. The feeling without anesthesia felt uncomfortable, but bearable. It reminded me of a probe on a sore spot, but I wasn't worried because I knew Dr. would stop if the discomfort became a problem; it wasn't necessary to have him stop throughout the procedure. I would do it again given the choice.

Just had my first visit this morning at the ungodly hour of 7am, which is good for me due to my work hours, and everyone from the front desk to Dr. Rust himself were very pleasant and welcomed me with a smile and a handshake. This is one of the first visits that I have had with a dentist that my teeth do not hurt afterwards! I would recommend Paradigm Dental of Beaverton to all my friends and family.

I had not been to the dentist in years. I've always had the worst experiences with the dentist. Making an appointment with them was so easy and they were so accommodating. Their lobby was so clean and beautiful. I was impressed right off the bat. As I walked to the room where I would be getting check out I was greeted by Charlie. She was so sweet and seriously made my experience so memorable. The dental hygienist was so gentle and thourough with my cleaning. The dentist came in and was so kind and had a great sense of humor. I had such a positive experience with this dentis from start to finish. I highly recommend this dentist office if you are feeling anxious about seeing a dentist.

I have been going to Paradigm for 4 years and they always have the new technology. For instance, I had three cavities fixed and they have the new Laser treatment that they did not need to use numbing medicine when they cleaned out the cavity. It was painless and it was the easiest treatment ever!!!

I had a filling done today in one of my top incisors. Dr. Rust used their new laser system instead of the traditional dental drill to remove decay prior to the application of the filling. ALL WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. It was pretty incredible. I was in and out in about 20 minutes and there is no residual numbness. There was only minimal discomfort during the procedure that I would equate to the discomfort of an icy drink on this tooth before getting fixed. My tooth is A-OK and I actually got to enjoy my lunch today since I wasn't numb. Hooray!

My first visit to Dr Rust's office was excellent. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional, reception, dental assistant, dental hygienist and Dr Rust. Had the opportunity to use a new laser device in use for (among other things) cavity removal. The entire process took about 12 minutes from sitting in the chair and I didn't even need local anesthetic! They always have the most updated technology and really show patients they care.

I had an appointment during the the Great Snowpocalypse of 2017. I thought that there was no way the doctor would make it in to fix my cavity but the staff made it. I rode my fatbike through the snow and Dr. Rust fixed me up quick and painlessly! Big thanks!

Cleaning was quick and effective. It took less time that I expected. Dr Rust's repair of my filling was also stress free. Anethetic was expertly applied, I never felt the needle go into my gum. Getting the crown down to the proper level was much quicker and more precise that my previous dentist. I guess experience shows.

I've been getting all my dental needs serviced at Paradigm for the past several years, and cannot say enough great things about them! However, what I can say is, I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone ..... that has teeth. Tops in friendliness, professionalism, dental equipment, skill and empathy. And if that's not enough, I also have a secret (shhhh!) crush on my hygienist! If only I was 80 years younger!

I have been to Paradigm dental twice. Once for a routine cleaning and once for Dr. Rust's first filling using a new laser technology. It was quick and easy and I didn't have to have my mouth numbed at all. With it being my first filling, it was as easy as it could be. The whole staff is nice and professional. I will be staying with Paradigm as long as I am in the Beaverton area!

I'm 30, and have been to the dentist twice 😳, and of coarse had my first tooth ache. They avoided a root canal, and gave me a cleaning for an unreasonably low price. I'll even post it, 150 bucks (with insurance)! For 2 fillings removed and replaced! One should have been a root canal, but they did an advanced procedure and avoided it. It's been about 6 weeks, and still seems to be OK. Additionally, and I won't lie at first it was odd, but it grew on me. During the procedure the assistant and dentist were just having routine office chat with each other "how was the family get together last weekend". It was weird at first, but they weren't talking to me, which was great I appreciated it. No one wants an awkward conversation while you can barely mumble anything. Additionally, after the procedure they both stayed and we all just chatted for about 30 minutes. Not about dentistry, but about my profession and they were genuinely interested. It was truly a good dentist experience, which going to the dentist in general is never a good time. They know with my work schedule that email is the most convenient way for me to communicate and set appointment, and they always respond same day. It's not an automated response, it's an actual person, where after the fist email, the signature disappears.

My most recent visit was for my normal 6 month cleaning. Charlie is always friendly as she checks my health record and gets everything set up. Julia does a super job with the cleanings. My teeth feel great when she is done. She also takes time to answer questions in detail. Dr. Rust came in and checked everything out along. My previous appointment was to replace a crown that had broken over the weekend. Dr. Rust and his assistant were efficient and yet took time to talk to me about things in general and specifics of what had happened with the broken crown. Since I am a bit of a coward about the dentist, I truly appreciate their caring attitude. They continual check to insure I am not in pain.

I highly recommend Paradigm Dental! From the front office staff, to the hygienist, to Dr. Rust (basically all employees you come in to contact with) everyone is professional, friendly, and the office makes you feel at home. It's nice to go in to an office where they remember your name and you don't have to sit in a lobby with 20 other people (there might be one other person.) Another plus is that they can almost do everything right there in their office. There is no need to run around town getting consultations and appointments with specialty dentists. Who has time for that? They also have the latest dental equipment right there! Did I mention that I live in SE Portland and still drive to Beaverton for my dental needs? I definitely recommend Paradigm!

The ENTIRE staff is THE BEST! The dentist isn't usually a favorite appointment, but they make you feel at home and are so caring and non-judgemental. For years, I skipped dentist appointments, but when I did go, hygienists seemed frustrated at me for not coming in sooner. Not here. Julia is the best hygienist ever and so sweet. She inspires you to do better, but doesn't make you feel bad if you haven't done your best. I can not recommend them enough!!!

I've been going to Dr. Rust since I was a small child and wouldn't go anywhere else. He saw me through a severe trauma to my mouth, the result of a water slide accident when I was 10. I always feel I am getting the best possible dental care here. Many of the staff have been there a very long time and they get to know you personally. I have three things to comment on: 1. Dr. Rust is awesome. He always makes you feel like you are the only person in the world when he is meeting with you. He is a great dentist, and you can trust that when he is working on your teeth he is doing it the right way. 2. The staff is very experienced. I was very pleased and (as much as is possible with the dentist) look forward to my next visit. I found Paradigm Dental on Google Maps while looking for a dentist office close to home. They accept Aetna insurance and had good reviews so I made an appointment. Everyone was very nice and explained things clearly, and the polishing part was the least unpleasant I've ever experienced!

Suffice it to say, few would say that they had a fantastic experience at the dentist's office... but I am pleased to say that I did! Having relocated to the Beaverton area within the past seven months, I visited Paradigm Dental yesterday for the first time for a cleaning and examination. I enjoyed a Sonicare cleaning which allowed for minimized scraping- something we can all agree is most definitely welcomed. X-rays revealed that I had developed two cavities- one on each side of my mouth- and a previous filling which needed attention. Dr. Brian Rust explained, in detail, what and why they needed to be addressed, and could accommodate me the next day if I was so inclined. During my appointment this morning for the aforementioned issues, I could not have been more impressed. To begin, the facilities are truly first rate and state-of-the-art. I was amazed at what has changed and improved in just the 14 months since my last visit to a dental office. Next, Dr. Brian Rust was professional, respectful and courteous on every level. What stood out was his willingness to walk me through the process of what was being done, and would further explain things when called upon to do so. He really knows his craft. Throughout the visit I experienced zero pain and was completely at ease. I think it fair that I also disclose that the dental bar had been set quite high many years ago as my uncle was a dentist, and had been mine well into adulthood. Dr. Brian's services rivaled his, and I now feel like I've found my permanent dentist. One final thought: the staff at Paradigm was truly wonderful. Right from the time I made my appointment I was excited to come into Paradigm Dental, the receptionist was so informative and very friendly! Fast forward to my appointment the receptionist was absolutely amazing! She was very warm and helped me with all my questions! The woman who did my cleaning was so understanding with my anxiety and was so gentle! I could not have asked for someone more kind. Dr. Rust was just as amazing, I did not feel rushed and he took the time to answer all of my questions. I felt at ease at Paradigm and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist!!

When I first moved up to Oregon I was lost on where to begin looking for a dentist. I had some work that was started in Wyoming, that I needed to get finished in Oregon. I knew it was going to be hard to find a dentist willing to take on the task. I got extremely lucky because I called Paradigm Dental first. Not only did Dr. B. Rust go out of his way to make sure I got my procedure finished but his receptionists went out of their way as well. They are very conscience of cost, out of pocket as well as insurance. I always feel so welcome in their office.

I recently had to switch dentists due to my insurance changing. It's always a little hard to change dentists, as I loved my last one. When I found Paradigm Dental, I was incredibly happy to find a great dentist in Dr. Rust. This place treated me well, made me relaxed, and is very helpful in making sure that not only are my dental problems fixed, but helped me develop a plan to avoid having further cavities in the future. Also, in getting my cavities filled, I think this was the most painless experience I have ever had, from setting the appointment to the actual drilling. During a larger fill, they even lent me headphones to relax during the filling. I would heartily recommend Dr. Rust and Paradigm Dental.

Dr. Brian has been my dentist for about two years and every time I go in, I'm amazed at how well I'm treated, start to finish. The receptionist helped find out what's covered by my insurance, my hygienist did a great job with my cleaning, and Dr Rust gave great advice and good options as to what I need regarding my dental care. I have only been a patient for a little less than a year, but so far I have been extremely impressed. The entire staff is always upbeat and willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer satisfied. I myself, have worked for Les Schwab since I was 16 years old, and customer service was ingrained in me since then. So when I find service at an exceptional level, it really makes an imprint on me. I went to Paradigm Dental before Dr. Brian and his Dad took over. I broke my bridge. So I called the office of my prior Dentist. I talked to someone who said the practice was being sold and could I call back after the holidays. I was upset and looked into a new dentist. Dr. Brian and his Dad took over the office and called me to have me come look at the bridge. He took a lot of pictures and we talked. I was overwhelmed. I had paid all this money for a bridge and it was less than a year old by 2 days. Dr. Brian and his Dad said they would fix my prior Dentist work. He worked with her on the amount but it was not cost to me. I started crying at his kindness and felt like someone was looking out for me. We did the work and I was not an easy patient. I broke the temporary bridge twice. During this time of almost 4 hour appointments I got to know and TRUST and love Dr. Brian. Since then my bridge now matches the color of the other teeth. The prior one was NEON white you could see exactly where the bridge was done. You cannot now. This bridge fits better. My daughter has now had her teeth cleaned with Julia and a chip fixed. I had my teeth clean last Monday and now am working on getting a Night mouth guard to protect all my dental work! Dr. Brian you are amazing and I wanted everyone to know!
